Surrounded by mulberry trees from the 18th century, this south facing single vineyard lays at 360 m above sea level. It is located in Ritzing, making it the westernmost vineyard in the Middle Burgenland. This is our coolest climate area for our wine, the soil and the southern orientation give it heat. Here lime was burned. Therefore also the high pH value in the soil.
The Kalkstaub ( lime dust ) is an immediatly pressed red wine from the Ritzinger Kalkboden. A light carbonic acid is noticeable this year. This makes it a Pet Nat.
